Good friend and hunting buddy got a nice female today. Called it in to 100 yards, 75#

I had then howling all around but could not make it happen.

I would suggest some of you wolf hunters record some hounds baying at a cougar or bear up a tree and play it very loud.   All hound hunters know that a pack of hounds baying is a virtual "dinner bell" call to the wolves.   They will call all their buddies and come in on you in full force.   If you howl with a wolf call you might get one or two curious young stupid wolves but hounds baying brings in the big cahutas wanting to kill a pack of luscious tasting hound dogs.
  Look out though, because they will try and come in down wind.
