Brittany Breeders in or near WA

I've asked this question years ago, but since things change, it doesn't hurt to ask again.  A couple of my family members will be looking for an American/French Brit soon.  They don't care which.
They are looking for Brits that will hunt within gun range and be good brush busters.
We hunt a lot of very thick cover.  Our hunting style and area will not work with a dog that wants to hunt out of gun range.

Sorry but if the hunting within gun range is mandatory a field bred springer or field bred cocker is probably more suiting.

Same as brush busting most pointers aren't big fans of that.

Wildweeds nailed it, all the Britts I've been around (all American) are pretty rangy, as it seems most pointing dogs are. His recommendation of a springer is where I'd focus my attention

I appreciate the input, but they are set on a Brittany. That's pretty much all they've ever had and they love the bred. 
My cousins current Brittany is awesome at hunting thick cover and spends most of her time in gun range.

 Then look more to a french than american,My vet is a longtime brittiany guy,he has switched from american to french and his are always in gun range without the help of electricity. PM Ungrounded on here and see where he got his french britt.It would be a good place to consider,My trainer told me the dog  Ungrounded has is a really nice little dog and in his first season ungrounded got some birds shot over the 10 month old dog.

I appreciate the input, but they are set on a Brittany. That's pretty much all they've ever had and they love the bred.

gun range is a relative term. My buddies britt is never less than 2-300 yards away, but when he finds something he locks on point and will stand there till you walk up and kick up the bird. One of the best dogs I have seen. Such nice little guys too

Not relative when the OP says  this. The OP's perfect dog is a springer spaniel do to these criteria he has hinted as IMPORTANT,which is a Brittiany spaniel in a different paint color that does not point,but lives for being a roto rooter brush machine.Same Tempermant and sized goofballs.I had them for years and I had 6 of them. I don't know when the brittiany lost the spaniel on its name but that's what they used to be called.Spaniels.

1981.  And only the AKC has dropped the spaniel name. In all other country's they are still considered spaniels.  They may not be considered spaniels by the AKC, but why are spaniels in every sense. 

BTW. I agree with Wild,  a springer is a much better choice for the OP.

A good springer is a bad mofo in brush and creekbottoms/ cattails.Mine were paper specials without papers,I got the best female I had for free,the male I had was a little feller and a decent dog,but the female was dynamite with explosive power,she caught out of the air many palouse roosters. A liver colored springer would essentially be a non pointing britt.The female I had would point quail,which was a nice thing really,you knew to expect an eruption of  blue bombers not the flying circus of a rooster.

Used to be a guy from seattle who posted as "Coug" on upland journal bulletin board,he had a field bred springer and let me tell you he gets alot of birds of all species.He always had super photo essays of his hunts.

I pm'ed you.  My french britt works pretty close.  He needs a little more work in heavy black berry bushes, but just brush or tall grass doesn't seem to be a problem.

Check out Tanglewood guides on here and ask them.  I know their family used to breed Brittanys a few years back.
