"Modified" skull plate for antler mount...help please
« on: December 22, 2013, 03:31:25 PM »
I have a set of my first antlers I want to create a mounting platform for. I would prefer to make/purchase something to match the other two I have (pic at bottom). I'm not really into the whole wood plaque thing. I really like the 2 that I have with a simple skull section still connecting them. At the time, I wasn't concerned with the antlers, so I just cut them off at the base for keep sakes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are plastic skull plates and plastic "euro" skull mounts from Mountain Mikes Reproduction.  I got one from Sportco for some 6x7 whitetail sheds I found. They also have really cool metal "euro" skulls. Im going to get one for my sheds. Hope I answered your question.

No problem. Theres also Casting Creations "camo-lit skull". It's an illuminated "euro mount". They company says they can clean and camo real skulls too. After you get done mounting. ..share a pic. Good luck
