Thanks, good to hear the trigger is adjustable.  The only complaints I've heard are the plastic magazine and trigger guard. Are these issues or not really?
Not a real issue. People need something to complain about.

Thanks, that's what I figured, always sometime to wine about.
A few more questions?

Are spare mags available, want to have an extra in case I loose one or some thing

Should I look into an after market recoil pad? Maybe a decelerator pad or along those lines?

Any other accessories that I should get.

I want to do this right because I want it for a long time to come.

Thanks

I have t3 lite stainless .338 win mag. I put leupold rings on mine. Just wanted stronger rings. Trigger is easy to adjust. Only weighs 7.5 lbs with scope and very accurate. I put a limbsaver pad on mine. No matter what I am hunting, this is about the only gun I use anymore.

Spare magazines are available although kinda spendy, some folks put recoil pads on them and some don't.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have a 300WSM  T3 lite  in stainless I absolutely  love this gun. The only change i have made is putting a limbsaver pad on it and even my 12 year old nephew enjoys shooting it.

I have 7mm and put a limbsaver pad on it before I even got the chance to shoot it.

Some have complained about the rings that come with the rifle. Some say to just buy some stronger hardware for the rings and they are ok. I didn't want to take any chances so I bought dnz rings too. Love the gun.

The rings are junk.  There is a pin that will eventually push through the rings over time.  Especially on a heavy recoil. Take them off and get yourself some Tally Lightweight rings.

Replace the recoil pad to a limbsaver.  Adjust the stock trigger.

I upgraded my stock to a bell and carlson stock.

I had issues with the rings on my Tikka .300 wsm and replaced them with DNZ one piece mount and couldn't be happier. Also, put on a limbsaver recoil pad

The Tikka T3 lite is a great rifle. It all depends on the caliber you really want. the price for a stainless is gonna run $629.99 for any stainless T3 lite. the adjustable trigger is really simple to change, it does come with rings, It comes with a magazine of course, etc. Great rifle weighs about little less then 7 lbs. i would prefer a smaller caliber because of the weight of the gun because if youre shooting a 300 its gonna kick like a mule. i would go with a .270 or .243 for the less recoil. my Store manager at sportsmans warehouse adjusted the trigger on the .243 and you could breathe on it and it would fire.

You might want to check that when you get to work  You tell me the price of a stainless 300 win mag and then the 300 wsm

I have bought lots of them from sportsmans warehouse and there has always been a price difference.

my only complaint of the t-3 is the extra mags are $87.  put a limbsaver sharpshooter x-ring on it and it shoots like a 22.  I paid $459 for my 25-06 and $500 for the scope and love it.  mike w

Extra magazines are a but pricey, but what do you really need it for on a big game rifle? If you can't kill your deer or elk in four shots, you need to quit shooting. In all my years of hunting I've never fired more than four times at an animal. :twocents:
