The Blue Mountains strike again.....
«

This bull was killed in the Blues this year on a muzzleloader special permit hunt in October. I was asked to post some pictures and a brief story of the hunt by the hunter. This bull was killed on day 3 of the hunt. On the 2nd evening this bull and his cows were chased out of some timber by a pack of 3 wolves, which allowed the hunter to know where he was hanging out. They went back in the next day and were fortunate enough to make a clean 1 shot kill on this beast. He was just officially scored 399 3/8 gross and 375 3/8 net B&C. Lastly, I was asked to not share the location of the bull so I'm not going to. If you happen to know the location where the bull was killed, please keep it to yourself out of respect for the hunter. He has the best intentions in mind by keeping it on the hush hush.
Enjoy and congrats, man. You put your time in and earned this guy.

I'm happy I got the nod of approval to share. Regular guy with a regular permit that he drew just like the rest of us can.

What an awesome bull. Just shows how huge a bull has to be to break that 400 mark. It makes a guy say hmmmm about some of the bulls posted that are supposed 400 plus. I wanted to see that bull on the hoof and they killed it the day I drove over to look . Congrats to the hunter and all involved its a bull of a lifetime. nwhunter
