Th rut has begun
« on: November 10, 2008, 08:08:26 PM »
I decided to take a drive after work to see some deer to get some re-motivation.  I was treated t some awesome displays.  I saw 6 bucks chasing does.  One walked right up to my truck then crossed the road in front of me to check out 5 does.  Barely acknowledged I was there.  Here are a couple pics.  Sorry they are fuzzy.  I need to clean my lens.

Here is a video I shot a couple years ago in the same area.

The 4 point wouldn't leave her for a moment. Was grunting every 3 seconds too! Couple others from that day. Four bucks, three with does. Two 2-points, one three, one four.

Sorry for the poor quality, was a camera phone.

I'm going into convulsions seeing the blackies and waiting for the late season to start. My bow is ready and I got the time off.  :chuckle:

If anyone is going to hunt (very) SW I'll let you know where he was. I'm in Oregon anyway plus I don't know how much hunting is allowed near that particular area. But I'll PM you details and you can look it all up and go after him.
