None of them have any business near a boat.

I love it when Captain Stubing goes down the ramp with it, only to be flung out when it did a 180.  Only thing missing was Queen Elizabeth breaking a bottle of bubbly over the bow before it rolls back!

A very slow clap and standing applause for you sir.  :chuckle: Excellent catch.   They've somehow been trained not to drown while in the academy.  Kind of like how they can drive while using the cell phone or the computer mounted just to their right, while driving, without being distracted.

So so sad..  It looks like the tongue latch wasn't latched? How did they get there without the same result going down the road? No safety chains hooked? Out of six or eight of them, is there one that knows what he's doing?  One that's ever launched a boat before with his dad to go fishing? And those guys are supposed to uphold the law? Vests.. and no PFD's visible. No throw cushon/ring?  They have no business to go near a kiddie pool, let alone a boat with an engine.

They're cops.  Of course they know what they're doing, because they're cops. And you get a one-way to GITMO for even asking the question.

Glad I wasn't on the same launch as those guys.  Could you imagine just about to put it in the water and these guys let a boat loose and it slams into yours.   :yike:

I know a few cops that would give that circus a run for there money.  You can give them all the test in the world and if common sense doesn't kick it, a badge won't help you.   :chuckle:

The funny thing is that I've seen some of the same antics at Narrows Marina or Point Defiance launches over many years. Swamped trucks, boats falling off trailers, boats floating trailers that have disconnected from trucks. Cars and trucks towing boats that are too big for them. Big boats launching at minus low tides. People that don't even know how to use their 4x4 to get up the steep ramp. Emergency/parking brakes that didn't get used or didn't hold. People that don't have a clue how to back a trailer. Boats launched ON to a trailer and truck. People that don't know how to maneuver a boat to save their life... All sorts of accidents, lack of common sense and stupidity. So, just because those in this vid are law enforcement... They are not immune. BUT, there should have been some training involved with this group long before they got to this point. They are playing with public funded equipment that should be cared for properly.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Now I know why cops carry Glocks--they shoot under water!   :chuckle:  :chuckle:
