my comment....
I see the Disney bunch is alive and well here. Maybe you should vent your anger at those who developed, and bought homes in their normal range....sending them to where they are causing problems.

Unfortunately we will now have a bunch of their kind going here now........( hopefully it did close last night)
Plan for 2015-2011.

Tim, if you imported elk to start a second herd in the foothills, would you then destroy the rest of the Sequim herd? I know that volunteer herders & "shoo-ers" were tried. There were supposed to be elk fences--both real & virtual--but, that is very expensive. The WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife is developing a Game Managment Plan for 2015-2011.
http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/game/ This plan includes Elk management (for the entire state). On that page, there is also a public opinion survey that you can take. It doesn't really take the 15 mins. it says it does. But, hurry! the Survey went from Dec 12th to midnight TONIGHT (Jan. 3rd). I do love our Sequim elk!--but, I also love the farms. I think that limiting the herd to 20 individuals is TOO low a number!
