Concealed carry in gym shorts
« on: January 15, 2014, 02:30:40 PM »
This is probably a pretty dumb question because I realize how difficult it is to carry in a normal pair of gym shorts, the elastic band with a draw string type, but I'm looking for a solution for it. Currently I can carry my Kimber ultra raptor in a romora holster, draw string as tight as it gets, and go for a run but it bounces quite a bit still when I run (this is outside).

I can't be the only one that has run across this.

I came across an add for some undertech shorts, but they want $50 for them. I don't mind paying that if I know they work.

All I really need is a wide elastic band that will hold the remora holster from bouncing up and down, like a belly band, and maybe that's a solution... If I could wear my girlfriends yoga pants, they have a good heavy wasteband around them but they'd be a little tight  :chuckle:

if you wear your girlfriends yoga pants you better carry the gun, or somebody is going to kick your ass.  ever think of a shoulder rig of some kind?

 :chuckle: You're right about that!

I'd prefer to keep it more simple than a shoulder rig, something I could wear just a t-shirt. I'm really not too concerned with keeping it concealed though, and that would definitely hold it good and secure.

The gun is already pretty small, I bought the girlfriend a P938 recently was was very tempted to get myself one as well, but mine is a compact 45, nice and slim just a good amount heavier than hers is all, but still probably the lightest gun I own.

Look into thunderwear, its holster system that wears under your clothes keeps your gun at waistband level.  I have a friend that wore one when training for triathlons.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Even if it were smaller, how would you carry it? Seems to me it would be the same dilemma.

Smart Carry. I use this holster almost daily in the summer. Also real good for those places that dont want you to carry.  Even get past metal detectors at ball games if you wear this with jeans and a belt. Metal detector "thinks" it is reading your belt buckle. I carry my glock26 in my swimtrunks when at places like wildwaves.

I have these "sliding shorts" find them at most big sports stores. They are NOT the spandex things, Those creep up.  They area a tight material that helps "keep things in place" at all times. I can easily put keys etc and play Basketball in them. no Probs.  Try  "Bike" Sliding shorts (bike is the manufacturer not a biking short)   in the baseball section.   Avoid the slippery and shiny stuff, smaller fits better and tighter.
PM pictures if your female and cute.... hubba hubba
Hunting, Basketball, Cars.... not much more for me to talk about.
