anybody know anything ?

well for the third time I,m contemplateing on this master hunter program in Washington state ,first off has anybody taken the test or has anyone passed the test ?also does anyone know much about the program after passing all there criteria.there is a 50 dollar fee at the start of things and that IS NOT REFUNDABLE.im just looking for some up front input before I proceed.any info from you guys is deeply appreciated,i know about the time, dedication involved,but would sure like to here from someone that is in the program or knows about it thanks fellow critter trackers !!!

I took and passed the test back in 04, I've heard they've recently raised the volunteering criteria since then.  I studdied pretty hard for a few weeks and passed with 86% I believe 80 was the minimum so the written test is fairly difficult.  In my opinion it isn't worth the time and hassle to receive it.  At least back then the hunts offered weren't that great maybe things are better.  To top it off WDFW continually has you jumping through hoops to keep your status even though you haven't expired yet.  Every 6 months or so I had to renew my oath, that they had re-written because some master hunters were acting like idiots they made everyone renew their oathes and jump through more hoops.  After 2 years of this crap I got tired of it and renounced my Master Hunter status.
