Nation Hunting Gear Field Test Panel
« on: January 17, 2014, 05:39:56 PM »
Hey does anyone have experience with this "Test Panel" from North American hunter?

I got it in the mail, and basically it says that they will send you hunting gear to test and report back on to the agency.  Supposedly the group is hired by outdoor companies to find hunters to test their product in the field before it's sent to market.

The logo at the top of the mailing is "North American Hunter" and it says it costs no money.

it has the feeling of a scam most definitely...but Its weird they sent window decals, and other free stuff.  It defiintely cost them decent coin to print and send out all of the stuff.

Has anyone actually signed up for it?

I've heard of it but never did it. I feel like its been discussed on here before.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

You have to join North American Hunting Club as a member first. I've been a Life Member since 1990 when it didn't cost much. The Member's Test Panel used to be pretty good and I got a few decent things out of the deal but they started making you jump through so many hoops that I don't even bother anymore. I still get the North American Hunter magazine and it' actually got some pretty decent writing in it.
