You don not need insurance on any ATV/ORV in Washington, period.I have Foremost insurance, because I've got a butt-load of money in 2 of them and I don't want to be without, if one or both gets stolen. I pay $45 a month for mine.

(It is Written into the law that was passed HB1632)Jingles, I have already converted my Commander to be street legal, Temp. license plate and all required equip.
OK, I was wrong. I went back and re-read the bill summary. I thought it had an insurance requirement, but no in looking at it, I don't see it there. I am not sure if it was in a proposed version and removed or if I just imagined it.Either way, below is the link to the bill summary.http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/billdocs/2013-14/Pdf/Bill%20Reports/House/1632-S.E%20HBR%20FBR%2013%20E2.pdf
My understanding is its ok on forest service roads if it's street legal.
Soooooooooo just a tiny off topicIf you are street legal. Than good to go on National forest roads?
You are right Campmeat (my apologies) no insurance needed in WA. I also learned that it is not needed on motorcycles either. Could of sworn when I read the bill I saw a paragraph that said atv's would need comparable ins. coverage as auto's. It sure is hard to believe the state will let cycles and quads on the road with no insurance. I am still going to get it though, heck I paid more for the Can Am than I did for my p/u when it was new.
