New .22
« on: January 25, 2014, 03:46:11 PM »
So I am thinking I want a nice compact .22 pistol. Iam thinking either the ruger sr22 or the walther. I'm also interested in the sig although its a little bigger than I want. Any opinions?

Walther P22 and a couple hundred rounds to break it in. The Sig .22's are nowhere near the quality of their full sized auto 9mm, .40 cal etc.

I would recommend the ruger over the walther basically the same gun but the rugers seem to run better out of the box

The Ruger.  I got a Walther P-22 and like it, but now that Ruger has made the same gun with their improvements, I'd get the Ruger.

Sig... how I hate them.... I will never own one and never work on one unless its just a simple sight adjustment, it seems like they all need one. After dealing with their customer service for months trying to get the correct parts for a broken side folder stock I am done with every product they have. rant off.

 :yeah:

I love my trailside.  Lighter weight then the ruger and more accurate. With that said, I still love rugers

I have an sr22 and it shoots great. My wife loves it over her Nano 9.  Not a singe jam, chews through whatever ammo I give it and is pretty much the best gun I have in that price range.  I'm partial to Rugers too.
