what kind of bird?

over to the right.... vulture?  kind of blurry.... sure doesnt look like a turkey to me, and i see turkey every day.

Kinda looks like a hen turkey to me, the color of the wing tips look right. :dunno:

maybe the real question shouldnt be what kind of bird, but, who would shoot it out of its roost?

I am leaning towards turkey.

The 'color' near the head is a leaf on the ground behind the bird.

It's really hard to tell from that picture. It's even difficult just judging the size. Are there any grouse in this area? Blue grouse maybe?

we have ruffeds and blues but in that bowl down there only ever see ruffeds.  bird in pic looks significantly larger than even a big blue to me.  damn grainy photo, low light, that magic time of day when pics are in color, but grainy and unclear.

Blow the pic up and look at the feathers. Do tv's have barred feathers?
