Probably not as bad as you would think, yet. Where I'm from in WI, the deer would yard up when the snow gets deep to trample down the snow to get to the feed. The only times we had bad winter kill, was when the deep snow stuck around into mid-march. They should be OK if this crap doesn't persist.

They also browse the tree limbs and eat the ends off all them if they can't get to the feed on the ground. It's not the best nutrition but it keeps them going when needed. My buddy texted me this morning. They got 20" in 24 hours.
