Price my gun?
« on: March 05, 2014, 09:52:54 PM »
I have a Benjamin  mod 137 .177 call pellet pistol. It is still in its original box with instructions and brochures. It even has the original sample pellets that came with it. The gun is in excellent condition and full working order. The original packaging is in good to excellent shape. What sort of value does a gun like this carry? There is one listed on gunbroker for $135 (gun only) but it is in terrible shape compared to mine. I haven't been able to come up with much other info on this gun. Is there a good resource to find out more? Is anyone familiar with these airguns? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Pretty sure it is not worth enough to sell.  To get top dollar you would be best off finding an air gun collector, which is not going to be an easy task.  Realistically it is worth what someone is willing to pay.  I would value it between 100-150.  Does the one on ebay have any bids??  or is is just sitting there??

Its just sitting there. I've had this one sitting in my closet for years. I never shoot it. It rarely sees the light of day.

The former Airgun Blog, now part of Pyramyd Air, is a good source for airgun info.

https://www.google.com/search?q=benjamin+137+site%3Apyramydair.com%2Fblog

Tom Gaylord (AKA BB Pelletier) is a long time airgunner and collector.

For instance, this link suggests that the market value is roughly $90-110 in 2006 terms.

IF you find the right guy it could go for up to $250, in general it will sell for $175-200 because of the box and paperwork. Just the gun by itself can be found in the $100-$125 range.  I would go $150 right now.

Awesome! Thanks for the replies and the links guys! I'll continue researching it and probably try to sell it for what I can get.
