Finally a coyote in front of the camera
« on: March 24, 2014, 08:33:24 PM »
I've had cameras out at this spot with bait for over two months and got nothing but possums. I posted a few of the possum pictures on here. I had two cameras set up on the same tree, one right above the other. One is a Moultrie L50, a white flash camera. The other is the refurbished Moultrie M80 I recently bought.

This was the first time I've used both of these cameras and I'm happy with both of them. I like the Moultrie M80 for the long battery life and I really like the wide angle format of the pictures. I really need to pick up a couple more of these.

The L50 is great for the color night photos which you don't get with infrared cameras. It goes through batteries pretty quick but I made up for that by using a Stealth Cam 6 volt external battery. It took thousands of pictures with that one battery and that was in cold temperatures, obviously, so the external battery is a great way to get around the short battery life issue.

Now here are some from the L50. As you'll notice, this camera does not do the wide angle format like the M80, but it does take color photos at night, which is why I always want to have a couple of white flash cams in my arsenal.

And that dog is still alive because???

Because the dang things are SMART, that's why.

But, I notice it was there a couple days in a row at noon, so I just might try to do a little calling in the mid-day.

The pictures are from two different cameras, both Moultries. The first pictures I posted are from the refurbished M80 I just recently bought for $60.

The last pictures I posted are from an L50, which is a white flash. This was the first time I had used that camera, although I have had it for a while. I only paid about $40 for that one.
