As you know there is no specific date every year.  About ten years ago I killed a black tail on the seventh ofdecember that was doggin a doe.  Probably was the second estrus cycle though, I'm guessing.   My buddy had a nice three point in his field a couple nights ago that was going crazy chasing a group of does around.  My guess is the does that did not get bread the first time around will be coming back into estrus around the first of dec. for a few day.  My other budy killed a big buck last year on dec 1 that he watched breed a doe.  Hope this helps answer some questions. :)

last week in my area Mashel,they were hot.Last two days havent found a one.Ive seen them here still rutting early dec :dunno:

I saw two bucks pushing each other around Friday morning.  Couldn't get close enough for a shot though
