Inboard jet boat with full hard top advice
« on: April 08, 2014, 11:18:20 AM »
I operate a 22' Wooldridge inboard jet with full canvas for work.  It is very loud while on plane, requiring shouting to communicate.  Considering replacing it with a full hard top, solid rear cabin door inboard jet for noise reduction.  Any experiences to relate?  Also looking to take a ride in one, can anybody recommend a Columbia/Snake river guide in Washington who has one?

I fished out of Joe Heinlen's Custom Weld on Lake Chelan with him once.  Hard top, drop curtain in the back was open, and we held a normal conversation while running at speed.  He has a 6.0 chevy Kodiak engine/pump setup in his.  I was impressed.

I have a 22' North River Commander with a full htp., with an open back...no drop down.  Relatively quiet when running at top speeds.  Not nearly as loud as many I seen on the water, windshield or otherwise.
