Just did it.  I know we aren't all elephant hunters but we need to send a strong message to our politicians to not take away our hunting rights and the ability to import trophies.

Please help with this.

Thanks!

If those"idiots" hadn't burned up those confiscated tusks years ago as well as last year and put the ivory on the open market, they would have succeeded in collapsing the "ivory market"!!

The only way to stop poaching is to take the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ OUT of it.

What has happened to Gibson Guitars is a prime example of "those" (idiots)

This is such a ridiculous stance that USFWS has taken and convinced other countries is correct. I think something like 6000lbs of ivory was destroyed in February as a "major step" toward international protection of the elephant. I read the rhetoric all the time that the elephant is on the brink of extinction while last I heard the actual population was on the increase and that some areas are very overpopulated. Damn ignorant liberal treehuggers anyway.

On day I hope (though doubt) I will have the resources to hunt an elephant, as well as a leopard.   It would make me sick and pissed to legally hunt an animal and not be able to admire it here because some *censored* politician has determined they know better that the hosting country of the hunt.

Done. Jaime Hererra Buetler will be on our side in this.

Excerpt from the SCI article, "African Wildlife Conservationists, U.S. Hunters Advocate for Elephant Sustainability":

"Despite the fact that 800,000 families in Zimbabwe depend on the safari hunting industry, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) bureaucracy freely admitted they instituted their ban on sport-hunted elephants from Zimbabwe and Tanzania without any basis in scientific data. This admission that “anecdotal evidence” was the basis for their decision was made in their own announcement of the ban, then repeated by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe on May 7th and subsequently repeated by FWS Deputy Director Steve Guertin on May 8th.  Even Assistant Secretary for Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Nominee Rhea Suh echoed the lack of scientific justification they had for their policy decision." [Bold emphasis added]
