Shooting my bow and rooting through my gear.  I go it bad already!  Not normal for me.  I sense a good year or something bad happening before season that will keep me from hunting.

Scouting a new area for this season. Hung a few cameras so far and have had elk on each one everytime out so far. Even saw a bunch of deer last time out. Looking good so far. Waiting to see what the season brings though. You know how it is, nobody is parked at the gates this time of year. I'm sure come September all my spots will have 20 rigs parked at every gate! Honey hole.... What's that?! Ha!!

House/property fix its are keeping me busy this time of year.  Have an ID scout trip (put a couple of cams out) in July; WA scout trip in August (again, a cam or two).  Practicing my calling and "starting" to shoot my bow.  Only a few days over four months away from stepping foot into the elkwoods with weapon in hand  ;)

Edit:  Reminder to self that I need to apply for some "special" elk also.
