2013 Mathews 25% off at sportco
« on: April 21, 2014, 04:31:03 PM »
Through April 30th, 2013 mathews bows are on sale 25% off. It includes the monsters, Helim, chill, and creed. I was able to pick up a brand new chill for $680! (Before tax) Couldn't pass it up, great price for a great shooting bow! Got bare shafts and field points together at 20yds, and broadheads/field points together at 60. Very forgiving and accurate for a 30" ATA bow.

Does Sportco have good support for the archery dept? Technicians eager to help and plenty of gear in stock?

They have been working to improve thier archery setup there. I believe they hired a new guy who is a tourney shooter and supposedly knows what he's doing. I believe his name is Andy. I use my own press to set up my bows, so I don't personally know how thier work is, but from what I saw it looks like they have a good setup going. I get treated better at sportco than I do at certain "pro shops" I won't name.

Andy has been with outdoor emporium and sportco for a long time. He does know his stuff and has good customer service. The new guy on the other hand I haven't had any good experiences with him. And from what I've heard he has worked at a few other shops and he hasn't worked out there. And as far as selection of other archery equipment  it hit and miss and usually miss. That's the problem with companies that also sell whole sale. They Buy large quantities at a time and run inventory out before re ordering. But for 25% off I'd have no problem buying a bow in the box and taking it somewhere else to get set up.

25% off is a great deal!  $680 for the Chill would be worth a lot of driving.  Great bow incredible price.

Although I do not understand how Sportco can repeatedly ignore the price integrity contract of Mathews Archery and still retain their dealership. :dunno:  I've seen dealers lose their Authorization for much less!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Maybe they're able to sell cheaper after the new models come out?  :dunno:Apparently mathews is coming out with a 35" ATA chill and short draw chill sometime in the next couple months.

I'd heard that rumor.  Would be hard to beat if they do

But, the standard Chill would still be a current 2014 model and held to the same pricing contract as any other 2014 model bow.  Mathews doesn't normally mess around with that kind of violation.

I've never heard of exceptions to the rules, but I guess anything is possible :dunno:

I've seen the fletch setter with some pretty good deals.

I picked up a Chill (in Lost Camo) last week at Outdoor Emp. using the same discount It ran me $719 for the LC finish, I don't know if other versions are cheaper, I'm just speculating on the price difference. Before discount it was $959
As stated they can do the 25%, but only on their 2013 Bows, the 2014s don't qualify.

I have a membership so I got 5% off on top of the 25%. :IBCOOL: members price was $911. Standard lost camo version.

I bought a Chill from fletch setter and got a great price but not $680! Great shop and service. He's not selling his  2013 Mathews for that cheap. If I had the extra cash I would go 2nd Mathews for that price
