No keepers from my area today. Bait was tough to be had before the early high slack.

We hooked more than a dozen and landed 8 between 7-10am, ended up keeping a 29", 31" and 35"

How do those copper jigs work, do they work well  :dunno: ( have used the 6" and 12" before but never just a jig head)

Seen them at Sportco, thought it was kind of cool

Two trips so far, we've only picked up one keeper a day. My buddy caught his in the sunshine on possession opening day, I got mine in the wind yesterday by Hat Island. Both were caught with scampi tail jigs.

Hit the morning tide at the Narrows, another unsuccessful attempt for me  :bash:

Talked with the fish checker on the way out at Narrows Marina and was telling me thta she worked the Ling Cod derby yesterday put on by the Point Defiance Boathouse and the will fish was only 12 lbs.
11 people entered the derby and only three lings were caught, 6 10 & 12 lbs.

Maybe try Hali next weekend  :dunno:

Didn't get out for the opener but picked this guy up Friday evening.  This one was 28 1/2 and about 9 pounds.  Caught another at 24 1/2 inches and had another keeper up to the boat but my buddy was more interested in getting his GoPro going than netting the fish and it self-released before I could net it after measuring and releasing my slightly short one.   :bash:

Didn't catch any in the wind and current Saturday and didn't get out to fish today, which was probably no loss with the nasty wind blowing here.

Gotta love the fast action.

Today got the ling while reeling in a greenling.
