oak creek, cowiche, wenas horns!
« on: May 03, 2014, 05:10:57 PM »
I personally got skunked up oak creek this year! I had plenty of chances to find some, but the horses and 40 other people in front of me were just a few steps quicker! So just curious as to what I may have been just a few steps away from at one point in time during the day? Let's see the big boys!

Good grief, that happened to me in the Joe Watt area, too.  I thought about walking a certain ridge down, but parked a little to far from the starting point and three people were walking abreast ahead of me.   So I walked a loop, saw an ATV with a bunch of antlers. After that,  met two of the guys from the previous three with antlers so I walked across the canyon.  I got up to the flats and saw a guy with a bunch up there.  No pictures, sorry.

Yeah same here! I knew exactly where I wanted to go and start walking, but when I got there I saw 2 rigs Parker where I was planning 2 people on one side of the ridge, 2 people on the other side. I tried taking the middle and they ended up with all the horns! By the time I got out of that hell hole I tried a few other spots and once again saw horns on peoples back but I figures everything left had been picked over
