:)Yes let us know how you do. I have been there before. They will tell you where you can hunt. Bring picture ID and proof of insurance.
I like to check in then get back on the freeway, go north to the next gate, if you are allowed, and hunt there in that big canyon area.
good luck

Is it open again? They had it closed earlier this year. I could ask my neighbor she is a erosion specialist doen there. I would hate to see you come over here and it be closed and waste a trip.

One of my customers has been out there this week elk hunting so it should be open. Like already said i would call first just to be sure. Make sure your gun is in a case though. He said they wont let u in if its not in a case.

no its open i see bird hunters there basically every day, as far as i know i thought it was closed to all big game though, coyotes and birds is all i think you can hunt there. Ps and you need to take the hunter course on the training center to hunt there, its about 30 minutes long and you have to do it annually. if you ask the gate guards they can tell you the time and dates the class is going. over all its a pain but once you do it, it can be worth the problems. plan on seeing some big deer if you keep your eyes pealed. ;)

Hey - runniNgunnin. Thanks for taking me out the other day. It was a great day!!! You know how to call critters. Thanks again!!!!

My oldest boy and I are going to go for a ride tomorrow morning and do some calling for BIG dogs - a friend of his had 12 wolves run through his trapline area. I've changed the sounds on my caller and am exited about the prospects.

I had a ? on your other post about badgers, can you shoot furbearers with a trapping license? I don't know your regs but we can in AK. and I thought that may be your answer.

Heres a pic of the kind of 'badgers' we get up here. LOL

Have fun this winter - and don't shoot em all. Daryl

Just a heads up, they are charging 25.00 for the Outdoor Rec Card now.
It's good for a year, april to april.

It's really easy, Drivers licence, registration, proof of Ins. to get on the base.
Go to "B" st, right, go to Gym at End of "B", watch vid., get card and map, Go back down "B" to M.P.'s, fill out paper (Register Gun). Drive out 6 miles to range Control, Show them Licence, Hunter Orange, Gun Registration, Pick your Areas (3 max) and Go hunt.

Now that you have done everything, all you have to do is drivers licence, etc. to get on base, Drive to Range Control Blah Blah, Hunt.

$25 for an Extra 500 or so Square miles of hunting ground. You do the Math.

Gun Registration- make model serial number, barrel length, overall length, your name address, blah blah. I didn't see them do any kinda check or anything, actually my 06 is some sort of custom, Mauser action custom barrel...... so I'm not sure i gave them an actual serial number, I just wrote down some numbers and letters i found on the action?? no body said Boo.
