Basically I havn't had much time to hunt or scout since I've been working swing shift so I was left with wk ends only. Saturday I was doing some walk abouts on some old overgrown roads just trying to make something happen when I started to run into some fresh sign so I figured I'd just sit down & see if anything would show up. So after about an hour of taking a few naps & checking the Mariner score on the Cell Phone I look up & their was a Bear about 200yds out. After about 5min it finally gave me a shot. I hit it behind the Shoulder & it exited thru the Chest. It ended up dying about 40 ft off the Road so made for a easy drag.

Congrats again Jim. That's a great looking bear.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Nice bear and cool looking throat patch. Gotta love that kind of pack; lift him up and throw him in the truck.

That's getting it done right there!
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
