Lapush opener
« on: May 19, 2014, 10:23:16 PM »
We wacked the butts and lings at Lapush last weekend. Butts to 60 and lings to 40. We released over 100 lings on saturday. Not sure how many butts were released. My fishermen we beat when we quit.

Nice work! I saw you out there, fished near you both thur/sat. I saw someone haul up a rock on your boat from 400+ on Saturday. Must've been a little disappointing?

Right on good work. I heard overall the fishing was slow especially the ling bite, you must be doing something right to have let go 100 of them! 40lb ling is a fish of a lifetime...

Nice work! The lung bite was insane. We had 6 on board and 4 fishing. I don't remember how many times we were all hooked up at the same time. Saturday we put 12 Lings and 2 halibut on the boat in 25 minutes. Drop, bounce, fish.
Team nubby!

FYI, what does a Halibut/Ling charter like that run?

Awesome job...    Went looking for you to say hi, what slip you in?  The bite was great for sure, we were heading in by 0715 with limits on Butts and Lings for 5...  I can't go Thursday - but hope Sat provides same activity...

If I was to guess you will probably be out there till the boats limit is reached. Sometimes 2 hrs, sometimes 10 hrs. And the law only lets you keep 2 lings. But keep in mind how much meat you get from a 30-40lb ling. 2 lings and a decent hali and you have fish and chips for the year.

Probably depends on the weather, but is La Push a place a guy with a 18' Smokercraft could go out and fish?
