I read through the regs, not real in depth since I am at work, but do you need to purchase a license to "buy" a point?

yes, and I believe this year you also have the 'privilege' of buying a fishing license in addition to your hunting license, whether you fish or not.

Open your wallet!!!

I would love to open my wallet if there was anything more then moths flying out of it. After apps here, Montana, Wyoming and Oregon plus buying a new house, I am stretched pretty thin  :yike:

Then stay close to home. For the better elk and mule deer hunts you're looking at 12-15 years of 'contributions' anyway. Some pronghorn hunts, even for residents, take better of two decades  :o

Who's in?  Deadline is tomorrow.  I'm starting over with deer points this year, so applied for some easier coues draws.

Applied for some easier draws in WA and WY this year too, so have this feeling I could wind up with too many tags.   But nothing in hand so far, so APPLY APPLY APPLY!

In for sheep and deer, hope to draw one of the tougher sheep hunts.
