My spring Bear hunt has ended

I was able to find this guy. After fighting bad roads the last few weekends. This weekend I was able to get to where I wanted to hunt. I set out for a hike in an area I wanted to hunt. Seen a few bulls but no bears. So I hiked out and moved to another good vantage point. After about five minutes of being there I decided to glass back where I had just hiked out of. And there he was feeding where I had just been So I knew just where to go. An hour later I was 100 yards above him. He had moved less than 75 yards from where I last seen him. I watched him flipping rocks and feeding for a while. The wind was starting to swirl so the next time he turned broadside I dropped him in place.

And I normally wouldn't ask what unit, but I figured you had already posted about it in another thread. I just couldn't remember. Besides, these are permit hunts and they all can be good hunts if you put in the time. I don't think any of the east side permits are much better or worse than any other.

Nice bear congrats, did notice he has a black eye must be a bully bear in the hood.  what gives with the space blanket?

I use a space blanket to keep the meat clean while I bone it out. It also helps cool the meat with the wind hitting it while I'm working on it, before I put it in the pack. It's like having a tarp, and it weighs about 2 ounces.
