He's going to have plenty of skins, because those two snakes above are No# 45 & 46 for the year so far and we just got started.

Someone mentioned to me the other day that there is a guy over towards Okanogan that purchases snake hides?

Looks like some fun.  I have only seen Mojave green in California but never thought of taking there skin.  I should have when I was down there :bash:

4' feet is a big Rattlesnake for WA!  I've killed timber Rattler's close to 4', big nasty green ones. We are at 79 for the year so far.

4' is a good size Western Rattlesnake..contrary to many, there are no timber rattlesnakes in Washington...they grow much larger.

My friends the one that wants the hides, I have no idea why. He dries them on his streach boards with salt.

They make some pretty wicked looking traditional bow backing!  Have a friend in Oregon that makes a good living making self bows with rattlesnake skin incorporated into them.
used many of them to back my long bows I built back in the day. Always beautiful! I wanted to do a timber rattler. .or maybe a cotton mouth? Love the Morrison limbs, Beautifull!
