My dad drew Hangman A Any Moose. I am so excited he drew before he was too old to hunt.

That's a good one, just be prepared and try to have lots of help for packing his moose out. It's about 3 to 4 miles to get in there. Luckily it's all uphill going in, so bringing your moose out will be all downhill. I think it's $40 per person for the IEP pass.

there is also access in that is up a bit higher but is a mile or so before you get into the area.
I most likely wouldn't hike in from star road very much unless you know a good bull is in the area.
the other access is mostly flat on the way in.

Thanks for the tips. I have never been over there so I will be learning all I can for him to make it a hunt of a lifetime.

Mind sharing that?
I usually go in on Starr, and it is a grunt getting into the Moose country. I go for photo and exercise, no tag here, but really a boring walk in for sure from the starr rd. However hardly ever don't see a moose of some sort.

Lots of moose in that area. Congrats.

Big bulls in there for sure. The hardest part of the hunt is over until the bull hits the ground.

I met him in Archery World yesterday. Nice tag!
