West Klick 578 Cow Elk

It appears I drew a cow tag for West Klick.

Anybody hunt 578 the last year or two?

Not a lot of elk in that unit but they are there,you will strap your walking boots on and you will put blisters on your feet and if you get lucky you may bump into them.i have hunted there for the past 10 years and in the past 6 we have gotten a couple animals,its not the tag to put in for if ya dont know it. Hunting cows in that unit is hard work but its a quality hunt to me because not a lot of people are willing to put the miles on their feet. Just my :twocents:

wife and buddy drew this tag. modern for my wife and muzzy for my buddy.If you spend some time looking for elk pre season. I dont think you should have a problem. If you you are a guy that just drives around and drinks beer you will have a problem. The units that went to 3 point or better a few years back all are getting more elk. west klick is just going to keep getting better in the years to come.

Success coming from putting in the work is a common theme! Though I'm loathe to call scouting and hunting "work". :)

My plan was to hunt with a few bird hunting buddies, but they drew Toutle bull tags so I'm going it solo.
