clamp on muzzle break?

just curious what everyones take is on these clamp on muzzle breaks? i just dont know if i would trust it.......
work hard but hunt harder

I don't see why they wouldn't work? Only issue maybe a baffle strike if it wasn't aligning just right to the bore. I imagine they are fairy generous with their bore tolerances to prevent this. Which in return makes a brake less efficient in reducing recoil and depending on how much, it could cause accuracy issues. I'm curious as to how well one would reduce recoil.

ya im pretty tempted to buy one just to try it i just dont know though i would sure hate to have that thing blow up the end of my barrel  :chuckle:

Is this the Witt machine brake?  That is the bolt on one I have been looking at..

I know one guy that mainly uses clamp on brakes for long distance shooting and he never has said anything bad about them. He uses a different type and brand though.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I have considered it for a 300wsm but I think they look rough and aren't any less $$$.  I am thinking Defensive Edge right now.  But I might just buy a another gun either 6.5 something ish.
