Mike,

If you really are a "sharp shooter" you should qualify for access to promotive.com, where you can get 25% off Zeiss riflescopes. Plenty of great scopes for sale in the $500-700 range. I'd look into the z600 or z800 recticle.  one option anyway.

Where will you be hunting? Eastern wide open places or Westside more wooded? You can get a nice Leupold or Zeiss for 600.00.   Remember bases and rings and scope covers add to the price  :twocents:

At that price range Zeiss conquest  It has very fine cross hairs, great in low light, crystal clear scope.

I would go with a Leupold VX-3 with CDS 4.5-14 either 40 or 50mm. They can take a beating, good glass, great customer service in the extremely rare event you need it. And made in America.
I just put above mentioned scope in 50mm on my new 26 Nosler.

I have the leo 4.5-14x40 and it gets dark when I can see perfectly with my binos, but I love the 14 power. I think im gonna get the vxL 4.5-14x50 with cds. Does anybody know if the 50mm brings in much more light??

Please let us know how the 26 Nosler and scope work. Looks like great potential. Now what is the reality and cost?
