Time for a good pellet gun. I have one that has been the end of many a problem coon. Remember if you have pets don't leave their food out or you may not have pets much longer.

Well said Fred.

 :yeah:

I'm so sick of ignorant people that want to get rid of a PROBLEM but don't mind making it someone else's PROBLEM.....    :bash:

This problem usually starts with someone in the neighborhood thinking it is cool having the raccoons around and starts feeding them. Then in no time at all the raccoon population explodes and you can you can hear them fighting all night long over the area and available food. Next picture most don't have tails because they have been torn off fighting. Then they use the neighborhood dog dishes as their litter boxes marking them and spreading disease and killing any dog in the neighborhood with an outside food bowl. Never feed a raccoon.

I just told him to stay up and wait til they are gone and block all areas they get in so they can't get back down there. I wasn't about to trap them after reading up on it and since he doesn't want to take care of them how everyone else wants to. He will have to figure it out. He shouldn't have access under his house for any animals anyways. I figure locking them out gives them the best chance of survival anyways since they don't relocate them. They just find somewhere else to sleep. I think he said they were only down there every so often. But I dunno the whole story. Just thought I'd ask what the options are here because people know more than I do. Then people always get an attitude. I have no idea why it always surprises me. Thank you for the people with the helpful information. I appreciate it

That's probably the best approach.  I did a skunk job for a guy one year, actually caught several HUGE skunks from under his shed.  Told him to fix it or the problem would rear it's stinky head again in the future.  Next year I was back trapping skunks at $50 a pop.  He finally fixed the problem and has not called me back, but it cost him $450.  :)

Wait till winter time and whack them with a 22 babies will be all grown by then, they dont hurt nothin, they just sleep, they dont chew on wiring or plumbing, they just chill and hangout under there

... but raccoons could have Raccoon Roundworm Disease in their scat and that is really nasty for humans if they catch it, right?  I wouldn't want raccoons under my porch, especially if I ever had any children in my yard.
