Shot 5 arrows at 45 yds, walked up to the target to see that my last shot hammered another arrow through the target. Arrow nock was ok so was the shaft.

You got lucky!  When I do that I usually lose to arrows.  Gets expensive.

Never seen that happen before... No damage to the fletching, shaft or knock at all?

There was a small ding on the end of the nock where the field tip hit, other than that nothing. I had to cut the arrow out, the fletching prevented me from simply pulling it through. I shot all arrows again and they seemed fine. I will keep that one designated for practice.  Easton Axxis arrows with Blazers.

Keep a close eye on that one that was hit, it will probably fail shortly.
I had similar a month back, hit on knock right just to the side so the V deflected the second arrow off.  Looked at the arrow and seemed fine other than toasted knock.  Put a new one on and kept shooting.  Week laker after another 20 shots with that arrow I noticed the nock was sliding out.  Went to pull it out of the target and the nock was 1/2 way out.  Looked really close and flexed the nock and there was a hairline crack in that arrow...

Replacement nocks are cheap.  Medical bills are not.  If there is impact with the nock just replace it.  Easton gets sued regularly for accidents that could have easily been avoided if guys just threw out questionable nocks.  "When in doubt...throw it out!"

Yes they are cheap.  I did replace the nock, as the old one was tweaked.  But what I did not realize was that the shaft had been damaged as well.  20 shots later the new nock was falling out and I found a crack in the arrowshaft.

That's a tough one to spot!  One of the reasons I keep the Bull Dog collars on my Carbon Express even though I do not like the added 4 grains of weight in the back end.

After a while you can get pretty good at feeling even the smallest cracks or even soft spots by banging the shaft against your leg and feeling for vibration issues.  But those little fractures up by the nock are a dang tough bugger to find until you experience what you did.  Glad all worked out well and accident free. 

I make sure to break the shaft in half (with my glasses on!) after I find a weakness.  Since my memory is never one to be relied on to remember why I marked a shaft as bad.  And I fear some kid will pull an arrow out of my trash thinking he can shoot it.  While on the range I'm conscious about placing fractured shafts in the quiver upside down so I can be sure to break those when I get back to the clubhouse.

yeah I used that one to learn how to remove vanes from a shaft without gouging or damaging it.  Found a trick online and a potatoe peeler works really well for vane removal, just don't let the wife catch you..

Semi dull industrial razor works well.  Sharp enough to lift the glue but dull enough to not dig into the carbon.
