Got it Running Again
« on: July 23, 2014, 10:17:51 AM »
I have had a 1990 F250 sitting in my drive for the last three years waiting for the bank to pick it up. Well after the three years I had the Lawyer write them a letter to either come get the truck after paying $10,000.00 in storage fees, or send us the title. They sent us the title

So after sitting three years, we put a new battery into it, 5 gals of gas in each tank, and fired her up   She wouldn't start on the front tank (couldn't hear the fuel pump kick in), switched to the back tank, and after the fuel rail charged up she took off   :IBCOOL:

Now with a good bath, and checking the breaks, and the 4 wheel drive and we have our 4x4 again

Good for you. Just have to ask why was it in your yard, was it yours, or did someone leave it there? :dunno:

It was mine. We had to make some choices after an emergency surgery for my wife, so we surrendered the truck.

Why did they never attempt to come pick it up?

Banks don't really want to be in the auto or real estate business.  They just want to lend money and collect interest.  :chuckle:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Why did they never attempt to come pick it up?

The probably thought that it would cost them more than the truck was worth to mess with it.  :dunno:  We did contact them a couple of times to come get it without any type of reply.   :dunno:

My truck now legally.
