This is New area to me.  And haven't hunted elk very much. any info would help alot...

there are plenty of elk.  get a map of the area study it for the terrain and make a plan.  get out of the truck and away from the roads.  I think you will be joined by A LOT of other hunters, have fun!

Should be a ton of hunters in the area.  I would find some well used trails and sit let the other guys do the work.
