I told that to my oldest son the other day, I said never forget this "Red Right Returning" he said what does that mean? I said you always keep the red light/marker on your right when returning to port. He said nice I can remember that.

We did alright over the weekend.  Got most of our Chinook but no keeper Coho.  We had a smaller sled so got off the water each day before the wind comes up around 1 or so.  Our size wasn't great.  Our biggest king was probably 15 and a lot around 10 to 12 lbs.

Most guys are fishing under the coho. We were catching them all weekend on delta divers with 15 to 25' on the line counters.

MADMAX let us know how your trip was when ya get off the water. my dad and I are looking for a guide to show us the ropes out there before we take the new boat down there.

We caught wild coho and lost some coho that we didn't get a good enough look at to see what they were.  We got the coho suspended also.

My plan is to run at least 1 of our 4 rods at a middle depth, I will post how it goes from down there.

We usually run 6 diver rods and two rods dragging with lead. Unless the water is plus 40' then the rear rods get divers too.

It helps to have so many rods.  It's tougher to locate the suspended fish when only fishing 2 or 3!

Monday morning there was a nice bite right out of Illwaco and down around the sand islands. Fished here due to the fog and saw a lot of nets fly. Here are a couple of pictures.

6s or 8s waaay back so the don't tangle. Cannon balls rigged on a sliding swivel.

Don't be afraid to move around....... Monday was a hot bite at the checker board.
