Attached at photos of the job done by the Raider dealer in Spokane Valley. I received the boat all paid for in Bellingham in December. It was shipped on the ferry to Juneau. After viewing the job done I asked the dealer about it and the reply was it's perfect they've been doing this for 30 years and there was nothing to worry about just go use the boat.
As you can see all controls were stuffed through one entry hole in the back of the transom, 6 inches off the bottom of the extended transom I might add. There was an open hole into the boat's interior where sea water could have entered and spilled on the electrical as you can see in one of the photos. Split tubing was used to contain the controls and bound together with electrical tape. Sooooooooooooo
I had to bring the boat into the Honda dealer here for a re-rigging. Original hole welded shut and two new ones cut into transom to accommodate the main engine and the kicker and solid control lines were used to a solid boot that is attached to the transom at both entry locations for the controls of each engine. This cost a few bucks to get corrected. Raider as met with the dealer and from what I gather they are not willing to help in the financial portion of the repairs to the boat. The money involved doesn’t warrant hiring a lawyer so all we are left with is to show the pictures of the job done by the shop and the story to get it corrected so we have a serviceable boat.
I might add that up to this point the dealer was nice to us and did offer some real good suggestions for things to have on or not on the boat while it was being manufactured

Thank you Rasbo and C-Money. We love the boat. Raider out of Colville makes a very sea worthy craft and the company really helps out with any issues that come from their manufacturing end. I have a wire loose in the boat, couldn't find it so the shop did and very quickly I might add. Raider footed the entire bill and a letter of apology to boot.
This last week we've had some big tide swings so we're not out looking but halibut but after the 19th we'll be out weather allowing.
I highly recommend Raider but don't have the boat engines set up by the eastern Washington dealer get it set up by a dealer near salt water so you don't experience our adventure.

I don't know that has anything to do with salt water.  Looks to me like it was wired by someone that really doesn't have any idea what they are doing.  A few zip ties, a few feet of tape, and who gives a care what it looks like.

Stein, you hit the nail square on the head. The dealership in the far eastern end of Washington did a real poor job of the entire thing. But I decided to go forward get it fixed etc., I sent a very nice short note to them asking for compensation but received no reply. The builder, Raider, tried to get them to see the light but it was a no go.

So my recommendation is buy near salt water to avoid any and all problems. Before getting engines set up ask to see their method of installation if they wonder why show them this web site's link to this issue right here.

My buddy works at Hewescraft, salt water boats made in the USA....sorry, had to say that.
