Silvers coming in anywhere?
« on: August 18, 2014, 11:43:43 AM »
I really dropped the ball on kings due to other commitments.  Are the silvers showing up anywhere yet, specifically south sound?  I think it's a bit early yet.

The kings in the canal should just be getting good and last through August when the silvers should start showing up.

Mooching or trolling?  I lost my downrigger capability for awhile.  Stupid sea floor :bash:

Trolling, no need for a downrigger this time of year just get yourself a couple deep sixes, pro troll type flashers and some coyote spoons and fish 30-50 ft of water. Bald point is an easy short run from union.

Another week and they should start trickling in well in the north sound. Sekiu had a bunch of coho there this past weekend. End of August should be decent for the south sound.

The kings have been biting pretty decent lately in the south end of the canal. FYI.

Put one in the boat on Sunday am and lost another. I was fishing the shipping lanes in 10.

Are you fishing Port Angeles?  I'm thinking we might try up there Saturday morning if I don't hear of good reports from Area 9/10.  Is the fishing better outside of Ediz Hook or Freshwater Bay, or does it not really matter as long as you're fishing in deeper water like at Sekiu?
