Accubomds are a great bullet. Trying some 150 gr partitions for my .270 this year. Loaded by double tap

Switched to Barnes a few years ago and they have worked great!

Do you handload? If so, I'd look into Bergers. They're like mini-grenades you can fire from a rifle. If not, I'd suggest some sort of factory load with Barnes bullets.

I am leaving on a 10 day bear hunt today and I am shooting 180 gr Barnes X. Shot a 400+ bear last year with them, broke both legs and out the other side no problem.

If your looking for factory ammunition. Double Tap, Winchester & Nosler all have factory 7mm Magnum offerings with the 160gr Nosler Accubond. Which is a excellent bullet with a great BC.

 :yeah:

Accubonds work great. I use 160g in my 7mm and 225g in my 338 wm

I know a lot of people that use Rem core-loct and have great success with them. Just curious why you are moving away from them? I have never used them but have read that they were considered premium ammo when they came out.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

+1 Berger hunting VLD grain load workup varies by application 168 or 180, my 7mag i shoot 168gr hunting vld, Berger makes target bullets as well so use the hunting,  out past 450yds, become set on 1 load for accuracy and bergers have great BC's.

I decided to stay with core lokt. I'm just upping my grain from 150 to 175. I'm going to the range tomorrow to see how my gun likes them. Always been a fan of them so if they group nice ill stay with them.if not ill prob give the 150 or 160 barnes a shot.
