Planned to fish it in my 12' trophy aluminum, but the other day my motor quit and wont start now. it was running like a top until i tilted it up to avoid hitting bottom.  :bash:

Now i'm scrambling to find a ride. I haven't missed a coho derby in 5 years! I may fish doug bar or who knows where else on the bank if a boat ride doesn't materialize.

Tried pulling the plug and cycling it? I'd start there and if it is carburated drain the bowl.  :twocents:

It's an 8 horse merc. I pulled the plugs and cycled it. One plug was wetter than the other. Both were getting spark. I don't know how to pull the carb off, doesn't look simple though.

Everyone pray for a big rain storm.  That's what made fishing so good last year.

I got it going with some starting fluid in the cylinder and a bit in the carb. I think the wet plug may have been an issue, or maybe a loss of vacuum in the carb i dunno. but it ran like a top out the cove in lake stevens and back. Jason i'll shoot you a pm, might have a seat if my uncle or my huntin' buddy aren't free. I plan to fish sunday too.
