FINALLY !! a new bow!
« on: September 19, 2014, 05:38:18 PM »
so after getting the bug 2 years ago and playing around with a vintage Bear bow that didnt even fit me today I pulled the trigger and jumped on one I really like. Its not a top name brand but shoots and feels really nice. Its a Kodiak Outdoors Nomad, got it with every accessory you could think of except a target. all for only $300 and over $1200 in receipts  :IBCOOL: He stays shipped out so its never been hunted with even.

Welcome to the addiction!
I would get those broadheads out of that case, when the case is closed they are probably very close to your strings. :yike: Id hate for that to happen to your new toy. :)

well i guess it has been 2 years, went to sight it in last night and tried shooting 20 yards with the bottom pin, missed the target hit my rock wall, one PSE sniper arrow exploded into pieces.  :chuckle: ooooook now that thats outta the way we were able to get down to business, luckily its like riding a bike picked right back up just fine and started slingin sticks perfect. i got 10,20,30 yards set, today ill get 40 50 & 60 yards pics done.

question should i get them all dialed in THEN do a paper test?

I'd do a paper test right away. No sense redoing all your work if she's outta tune.  :twocents:

Do paper 1st, otherwise you just redo again.

Congrats!

Don't chase your own tail by not starting with paper tuning.  Might even consider a walk back shot series.  Just to verify all is well.  You don't want to be shooting at 40,50 etc without doing that. Otherwise you may be making adjustments you don't need to.
