The craziest part of the trip was the night before we left.  We had all the meat hanging at a meat locker and the head and head/cape in the back of the truck.

We crashed and at about 3:30 Charlie woke me up telling me someone was stealing the horns. We looked at the truck and could see the horns and no one around but it was dark...then all of a sudden we could make out a big dark spot in the truck. BLACK BEAR!!!  I had a bear in the back of my truck yanking on Charlie's cape. Charlie grabbed a hiking pole and scared the bear off and then was able to chase the bear up a tree. The bear was growling, hissing, snapping his jaws, etc... The 250 lb bear would never go farther up the tree than about 8 ft.  Finally we were able to get our flashlights out of the truck and scare the bear further up the tree. We quickly loaded up and got out of there.

The truck has a little more charachter now.
