Congrats!! Good looking buck.

Yes this was one of the Quality tags. I met the other tag holders and two filled their's with four points and the fourth I met Friday and Saturday but did not see him again so I don't know if he got one or not but like me he had seen several smaller bucks that we passed on. When I came out of my trailer sat. mourning I saw three bucks standing 25 yards from me,(spike, 2 pt, and a 2X3). Played cat and mouse with a 4X5 for about a hour and a half never got any closer than 200 yds.
Sunday mourning went out walked along ridge from camp and saw a doe with a fawn, decided to go to a different area, when I saw this deer he was laying down facing me at 40 yards, I did every thing wrong pulled trigger click looked down saw intermediate safety still on, turned of safety buck still laying looking at me, shot him and while reloading another hunter came up and asked me if I wanted to use his rifle to take another shot because he thought I missed but I told him my deer was laying on the hill he saw mine down and asked me to move to my right and there standing about 20 yards away from the deer I shot there was a 4X4 standing there watching us. He shot his and we had two bucks down 20 yds apart. Then the work starts.
The hunting trip in it's self was an adventure since none of my hunting partners drew this permit my wife of 34 years went with me her idea of camping is at best having to be close to running water and toilets but she wouldn't let me go alone, but we had a fun time the peace and quiet was nice.

It was amazing how many bucks I saw up there saw more bucks than does. At least on the way out I only saw a spike my worst fear was to see a 5 point looking at me as I drove out.
