Garmin Alpha tips?
« on: September 30, 2014, 12:55:33 AM »
So, a few weeks ago when I took a Drake to his NAVHDA NA test, I scored a coupon for 35% off from Garmin. I needed to get a training collar, and though I had been drooling over the Alpha (as I hope to start backpacking with Drake next year), I never thought I'd be able to afford it until I landed that coupon, so I splurged and picked one up, I was also able to get the newest collar with it, the TT15.

This is my first training collar and/or handheld GPS, I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with this system, and had any tips, or things to keep in mind. I've already been using it almost everyday training Drake to recall with the tone, but of course I'll never learn in 1 or 2 weeks what some of you may have learned over months, or longer, so if you have anything to share, please do!

Thanks,

Richard
