Wonki, Nice.....  Sounds like you got something that works great for you.  One of these days I'll run into you at the range.  Going to join after the first of the year...  Look for me I'll be the guy shaking my hand cause of the horrible feeling hand grip BEAR/Jennings bow.....  and a cheap hat.... :chuckle:

Wonky,
Congrats on the new bows. Glad to hear your daughter is excited about bows. I can't wait to get my daughter one. Happy shootin.

Congrats!  Even more congrats on getting the daughter involved!  I got my son and daughter a new bow this year... to go along with my new expensive hat (I got a new Bowtech Captain with my hat!  :-))  Its nice to have them come in and say,  "Dad can we go outside and shoot?"  Then look at the wife and say oh..... ok just for you guys... :-)  LOL

My wife bought me the top of the line Mathews Z-Lite back in 94 I think it was. I have harvested many nice animals with that bow including my 08 Washington moose. It cracks me up to listen to all these guys pumping their chests up talking about their new 350 fps bows with state of the art engineering, and coming off as though anything else is inferior.

Like any modern firearm out these days its more about shot placement than anything else. All my kills have been with one shot, right through the vitals and I can guarantee not one of these animals gave a rats ass that my bow didn't have state of the art limbs or risers. Its about shot control and confidence, both of which are more important than just buying the newest, biggest, baddest gear on the market.

I am all for reading about everyones excitement over their new gear, don't get me wrong, but lets not forget that not everyone on hear can go out each year and upgrade. Its nice to read about new technology and the advantages it can give you but please don't disparage what others may have, we have one MM and I'd like to keep it that way.

I'm with EastWaViking, you can't go wrong with Hoyt, Bowtech or Mathews, they are all quality bows. :twocents:

Ya but Phool, you are avoiding the real topic in this post. Did you get a Mathews hat with your bow?  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I can't wait to buy my daughter her first bow.  She is 7 months, do you think she can pull it back?  haha  All kidding aside, its nice to see us parents getting our kids into these types of things at such a young age.
