Checked my camera today, few elk...one snowy cow

Checked my camera today and got a picture of a little bull that I caught on a different setup a 1/2 mile away.  Looks like the elk didn't bed up when the snow started falling...to bad they're on the wrong side of the highway.   I was really hoping the deer were coming in steady...hadn't been a deer by for 7 days.

I am all for just takin pics but I'm wondering why you would set up your camera in an area thats "on the wrong side of the road" in the first place Just cuious.

I'd seen a couple huge 4 x 4 Blacktails close by and they are legal.
