Why has she let you chase other doe around?

Anybody have any reports of any rutting action going on in Vail? Headed out for the whole late season to try to get the wife a blacktail.

Definately starting in 139. I've finally seen some big bucks cruising and some bucks very aggressively chasing.

I live in the 130 GMU (just SW of Spokane) I had a nice 4x4 walk across the road in front of me this morning.  He was bird dogging a group of does (4-5).  I had to stop my pickup as he walked across the road.  At 15 yards he didn't even acknowledge I existed.  I would say the rut is under way around here.  Happy hunting everyone. I can't wait for late muzzy to get here.

Been out since 4:30 this morning in 624. COLD, and very dry frozen corn flakes kind of ground. NO moving quiet anywhere. No wind, NO rain, just dead calm and quiet. Saw NO deer, and no new rubs.

Heading out to 420 this weekend, will see what's happening. Hoping badly that they'll still be moving. I'll be happy with a doe though so whatever comes within longbow range is in trouble.

Seen a hog of a BT this morn about ten feet from the dinning room table.  Atleast 20 inch tall and 15 wide with good mass.  One of the biggest blackies ive ever seen.

Seen 3 BIG WT and one medium WT, 3 of the 4 had multiple does.  Some fawns were out by themselves.

I have a bad feeling that the peak of the rut was late last week into last weekend. There was alot of activity in those 4 or 5 days down here in the south sound. Seems like things have quieted down the last few days. Anyone else noticing that? Wondering if the colder weather that hit a week or so ago triggered it a little early?
To God alone be the Glory!!
